dc.description.abstract“The learning process carried out at each level must be based on activeness and can trigger student curiosity. Therefore, a learning model and technique is needed that can make students actively involved in implementing learning activities. One of the models that can be used is the discovery model. mind mapping assisted learning where this model focuses on finding information independently and processing information to become more organized. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the mind mapping-assisted discovery learning model on improving students' cognitive learning outcomes on impulse and momentum material. This study used a quantitative pre-experiment design approach with the One Group-Pretest-Posttest method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, a sample of 57 students. Data collection using test techniques. The data analysis technique used is the N-gain test and paired t test. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes between after the application of the Mind mapping-assisted discovery learning model with N-gain in the medium category as many as 34 students with a percentage of 59.65% and in the high category as many as 23 students with a percentage of 40.35%. In addition, there is a significant difference in students' cognitive learning outcomes between before and after the application of the Mind mapping-assisted discovery learning model in the value shown in the t-test analysis with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been carried out, the Mind Mapping assisted discovery learning model is effective in increasing students' cognitive learning outcomes.en_US
