The yellow sap contamination caused poor quality of mangosteen fruit. Yellow sap will be an issue when the sap is contaminating the surface of the fruit or aryl caused by yellow sap channel brokens. Yellow sap channel broken is associated with the low concentration of Ca2+ in the fruit pericarp. Source of calcium and aeration condition in rhizopshere thought to affect absorbtion and translocation of Ca2+ to fruit tissues. This reaserch aims to: [1] Getting the optimum dose and source of Ca2+; [2] Determine the critical timeof Ca requirements based on fruit growth stadia; [3] Obtain information of the best timing of Ca application based on stages of fruit development; [4] Determine the effect of biopore on efforts to increase the abundance of Ca2+ uptake and translocation to the optimization of Ca2+ in the mangosteen fruit; [5) Obtain an effective and simple technique to improve the uptake and tranlocation of Ca to fruit and can cope with yellow sap contamination in the mangosteen fruit. This research showed [1] Ca sources, both of dolomite and calcite, able to reduce contamination of yellow sap on aryl or mangosteen rind. [2] The application of 1.6 kg Ca 2+ .tree-1.year-1 can reduce the percentage of yellos sap contamination scores on the mangosteen fruit. [3] The critical timing of Ca2+ needs on mangosteen is at the time of the first stage, namely when the rapid fruit growth stadia. This stage occurs approximately at 1-4 weeks after anthesis; [4] anthesis stage is the best time to apply Ca in an effort to reduce the percentage and a score of yellow sap contamination. [5] Biopori will affect the increase in Ca uptake into fruit percarp tissues indirectly. [6] The application of Ca at the time of anthesis and application Biopori is an effective technique and easy to apply and able to increase the percentage of the mangosteen fruit with yellow sap contaminant-free.
