Performances analysis of solar photovoltaic system (SPS) based on energy and exergy efficiencies. In this paper, analysis of solar photovoltaic system (SPS) based on efficiencies including energy and exergy and exergetic improvement potential (IP) using experimental data (environmental parameters and electrical output of SPS) for Samarinda East Kalimantan has been carried out. It is found that the hourly variation for SPS evaluation gives energy efficiency (12-35%) is higher than exergy efficiency (4-12%), respectively. Therefore, the exergy efficiency of the system would also be low and IP would be high, then only 4-12 % of the exergy radiation is used and scope for improvement in the existing system is high.en_US
