The Indonesian government applies the Law of Minister of Education Numbered 13/2007 concerning five competencies of school principals and Law of Minister of Education Numbered 16/2007 concerning academic qualification standards and teacher competencies in the use of information and communication technology in learning. The goal of this research is to find out the effect of the interaction between school principals’ competencies and the use of information and communication technology (ICT) upon the teachers performance at Junior High schools, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The number of the sample was 99 teachers. The research was quantitative using a correlational method. The data were collected with questionnaires and analyzed with multiple regression. The research finding revealed that there was significant interaction effect of school principals’ competency and the teachers’ use of ICT upon the teachers’ performance. Ultimately, the teachers’ performance was significantly influenced by the school principals and the teachers’ use of ICT.
