Changes made by forests for economic development activities or forests provide protection for habitat and Morio Orangutan opulation (Pongo pygmaeus morio). The area of forest which is the habitat of Morio orangutans in East Kalimantan has now been fragmented into several habitat units, with diverse areas and spread over various functions produced. Orangutans have good behavior in their habitat. Because of this, this research carried out research on nest trees and orangutan nests in their habitat around the Sangata Kanan river. The results of observations found 26 nests in 25 nest trees with the type Ulin (Eusideroxylon zwageri) the most widely used. In the transect lanes there are no types A and B nests. In general, nest characteristics are very important in understanding the condition of orangutan habitat.en_US
