Infection caused by wood rot fungi can cause weight loss and changes in the phytochemical content of the wood. This study aims to analyze the impact of infection caused by the fungus Schizophyllum commune on the percentage of weight loss and the phytochemical content of Dryobalanops sp. Weathering testing was carried out using the inoculation method on lime wood samples using PDA media and an incubation period of one month and phytochemical testing was carried out on the samples before and after being infected by the fungus. The results obtained from this study were the percentage of weight loss of lime wood due to infection with the rotting fungus S. commune was an average of 0.14% and another result was the discovery of saponins in the lime wood extract after being infected with a fungus that was not found in the wood extract prior to infection. using the same method, namely the Indonesian Ministry of Health.en_US
