This aims of this study to determine the effect of the addition of quail manure on culture media to the population and biomass of silk worm (Tubifex sp.). This study used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments: P1 (100% mud); P2 (90% mud + 10% quail manure ); P3 (80% mud + 20% quail manure ); P4 (70% mud + 30% quail manure), with 3 times replications. The silk worm is cultured inside a 100 x 15 x 12 cm container with the thickness of media is 5 cm. The culture media flowed with 300 ml/min with water. Sampling is done every 4 days for 28 days observation. The results of the study showed that the addition of quail manure significantly affected the population and biomass of silk worm. The optimal dose for silk worm population in the 100% of mud treatment (P1) the result was 38,571 ind / m2 , and the optimal dose for silk worm biomass in the 90% mud treatment + 10% quail manure (P2) was 90.30 g / m2 .en_US
