dc.description.abstractSamboja Kuala is one of the Kelurahans in the Samboja District area which has a very wide sea and has potential in the field of marine fisheries to increase fishery resources, one of which is Speckled Shrimp (Metapenaeus monoceros). Capture fisheries activities in the Samboja Kuala region is one of the livelihoods of the surrounding community for daily life. Most fishermen use trawl as a tool to catch shrimp, which is operated night. This research was carried out in November - December 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the sex ratio, growth rate, death rate and recruitment patterns. Sex rations on male and female speckled shrimp is 1.00: 5.94. The growth rate (K) of male shrimp was 0.630 while female shrimp were 0.880. The maximum carapace length (L∞) of male shrimp was 82.70 and female shrimp is 103,39. Long growth rate of male and female speckled shrimp at young age experiences rapid growth but as we age the slower growth. The new addition of male speckled shrimp occurred in December with the proportion of 18.08%, while female speckled shrimp occurred in June with a proportion of 21.01%.en_US
