dc.description.abstract | Macrozoobenthos are living crawling, sticking, burying and burrowing both on the bottom of the water and
on the surface of the bottom of the water. Macrozoobenthos that live in mangrove areas mostly live on hard
substrates to mud. This study aims to determine the diversity of macrozoobenthos in Mutiara Indah Beach,
Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. Sampling was carried out at three
stations. Station 1 (main entrance to the beach), Station 2 (near the visitor's resting area) and Station 3 (next
to Panrita Lopi Beach). Sampling macrozoobenthos using purposive sampling method. The results showed
that the macrozoobenthos found at Mutiara Indah Beach consisted of 1 phylum, 2 classes, 9 families and 652
individuals. The most commonly found macrozoobenthos is Meretrix meretrix. The highest Diversity Index is
at Station 1 (2.68), and the lowest is at Station 3 (1.60). | en_US |
