dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the effect of education and work performance on the career development of permanent employees of PT Pos Indonesia in Samarinda. The variables used in this study consisted of independent variables, namely Education (X1), Job Performance (X2) and Career Development (Y). The sample in this study amounted to 89 respondents with the data analysis technique used in this study using SPSS version 25 software.
The data analysis tools used were validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test, correlation coefficient test, determination coefficient test, F test, T test and dominant test. The results showed that education and work performance simultaneously had a significant effect on career development. at PT Pos Indonesiain Samarinda. This is evidenced by the sig Fcount = 0.000 <0.05. From the results of the t test (partial) the education variable partially does not have a significant effect on career development and the job performance variable partially has a significant effect on career development at PT Pos Indonesiain Samarinda. This is evidenced by the sig tcount X1 = 0.485> 0.05, X2 = 0.000 <0.05 where the significant effect is the Job Performance variable with Standardized Coefficients Beta of 0.486.
The results of this study indicate that education and work performance influence career development by 26.9%, while the remaining 73.1% is determined by other variables not included in the study. PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) in Samarinda needs to foster and guide the implementation of education for employees. This is done to support his career. | en_US |
