The experiment aims to analyze the formation of biofloc volume and the growth of nile tilapia reared in a biofloc system at indoor and outdoor conditions. A Student’s t-test designed with two treatments and six replicates, namely P1 (biofloc in indoor condition) and P2 (biofloc in outdoor condition) was applied. The result of statistical tests with 95% of confidence level showed that the absolute weight significantly differs (p < 0.5) between the indoor biofloc system from the outdoor biofloc system. P2 treatment (outdoor) had a higher average weight growth value than P1 treatment (indoor). The floc volume formed during 30 days of P2 treatment (outdoor) showed a higher abundance of 29.9 ml/l compared to P1 treatment (indoor) of 26.9 ml/l. The water quality parameters during experiment had a range of values tolerated by nile tilapia.en_US
