ANALISIS KESESUAIAN EKOWISATA PANTAI DI TELUK PANGEMPANG KECAMATAN MUARA BADAK, KABUPATEN KUTAI KARTANEGARA, KALIMANTAN TIMUR
Abstract
As a tourist attraction, this beach requires a tourist suitability analysis to develop better facilities and infrastructure in the future. The purpose of the research is to find out the level of coastal ecotourism suitability by using Tourism Suitability Index (IKW) and tourism attractiveness in Pangempang’s Fjord Muara Badak district, Kutai Kartanegara regency, East Kalimantan. This research was carried out on Febrrent observations beaches. There is Jingga beach, Pelangi beach, Mutiara Indah beach, Panrita Lopi beach and Kurma Indah beach. Data analysis used the Tourism Suitability Index based on the multiplication of scores and weights obtained from each parameter Depth, Brightness, Beach Type, Beach Width, Beach Slope, Water Base Material, Flow Speed, Observation of Hazardous Biota and Availability of Freshwater. The potential of coastal ecotourism in Jingga Beach, Pelangi Beach, Mutiara Indah Beach, Panrita Lopi Beach, and Kurma Indah Beach is an ecotourism recreation category, with a tourism suitability index (IKW) on Jingga Beach with a 86% S1 category (very appropriate), Beach Pelangi with a 92% score in the S1 category (very suitable), Pantai Mutiara Indah with a score of 86% in the S1 category (very suitable), Panrita Lopi Beach with a score of 86% in the S1 category (very suitable), then on the beautiful Kurma beach with tourist suitability index value (IKW) 80% of the S1 category (very suitable) to be used as an ecotourism-based beach.
