Melamine is a kind of polymer which could contaminate the environment. Bontang X area has been known to be contaminated by the melamine. The research aimed to determine the area and volume contaminated by the malamine and to measure the resistivity of melamine. There were seven steps performed in the research. First, it was the step to search references proving the existence of melamine contaminants in the research area. Second, it was the step to measure the apparent resistivity by the geoelectrical method in the configuration of Wenner-Schlumberger. Third, it was the step to proces the geoelectrical data by using Res2dinv software to provide underground 2-dimensional cross-sectional area in the representative of apparent resistivity. Fourth, it was the step to digitize the 2-dimensional cross-sectional area by using the facilities of Ms. Word and then the results were to be processed by using Surfer software to create the contour map of apparent resistivity. Fifth, it was the step to get the coring data in the research area. Sixth, it was the step to measure the resistivity of coring samples by using the instrument of geophysics Laboratory. Seventh, it was the step to calculate the melamine contaminated area and volume by gridding the contour maps with the help of ImageJ software. The results of the research were: first, the melamine contaminated area at the surface is 1218.3 square meter with uncertainty of 6.25 square meter and at the depth of 0.5 meter is 1112.9 square meter with uncertainty of 6.25 square meter; second, the contaminated volume is 1165.6 cubic meter with uncertainty of 3.125 cubic meter, with the melamine resistivity is 7.5 ohm.meter with uncertainty of 3.5 ohm.meter.
