Pengembangan Media Desain Batik Transformasi Geometri dalam Pembelajaran Matematika SMA
Abstract
Ethnomathematics-based Transformation Geometry learning is a teaching strategy that combines mathematical knowledge and cultural wisdom. This study aims to reveal the feasibility and effectiveness of a Geometry Transformation Batik Design media in mathematics learning for grade XII IPA students of SMAN 1 Nunukan, North Kalimantan. Research and development with the Borg & Gall model experimentally used two groups with the static group comparison: randomized control-group-only design. Development of learning media through the trial stage of small and larger samples with the help of material and art validators. Questionnaires, observation sheets and learning outcome tests as instruments to collect research data. The validation results recommend that the learning media category is feasible. Hypothesis testing uses a t-test technique whose results show a probability value of 0.000 at α=0.05 so that there are differences in learning outcomes between the two groups of students, and the experimental group achieves higher learning outcomes. Media use in the experimental group showed effective results, while in the control group, the results were less effective. In further research, geometric transformation batik design media can use batik motifs according to each region and for other geometric fields.
