KONDISI SOSIAL EKONOMI DAN BUDAYA MASYARAKAT DI SEKITAR AREAL PT. RIZKI KACIDA REANA ( RKR ) DI KABUPATEN BERAU DAN KABUPATEN BULUNGAN PROPINSI KALIMANTAN TIMUR

Abstract

Exertion plans of forest woods utilization in wood forest by PT. Rizki Kacida Reana (RKR) in Berau Regency and Bulungan Regency East Kalimantan Province at a guess except negative impact also positive impact to social, economic and culture society in around area. From the result of the previous research there are activity known that average household income in a mount it was good enough or not come under destitution. Common of them are farmers, fisheries, and only a few of them have other job or have saving in money. But few of the respondents have investment/property as a land, electronic devices, motorcycle, car, boat, and other durables devices. Local economic activities still oriented in compliances of basic needs, economic infrastructure still limited. Local customs act as Berau tribe, Dayak Basab tribe, Wajau tribe, and Bugis tribe. Personage custom rule was dominant in settlement traditional law problem. Most of them have Muslim religion, so norm and culture value based on Islamic tenet. Negative value as: (1). Alcoholic liquors, (2). Karoke, (3). Marriage by contract, (4). Gambling, and (5). Drugs still not entrance in research location. Social conflicts have still infrequently, and most of casual factor are teenager problem and can be settlement by familiar approach. Assimilation process has been occur among them, there are social institution and functioning well in RT, Lembaga Adat, Badan Perwakilan Desa, Kelompok Tani and religion institution. Society perception to exertion plans of forest wood utilization in forest by PT. RKR are positives. Society appraising that present of PT. RKR will give them benefit.
