Bentuk, Fungsi, dan Nilai Tuturan dalam Upacara Adat Biduk Bebandung Suku Bulungan: Kajian Folklor

Abstract

This research has a purpose to describe the form, function and value in Biduk Bebandung tradition ceremonial, Bulungan tribe, through the folklore investigate. The writer has interested to investigate the speech in Biduk Bebandung tradition ceremonial in order to increase the knowledge of culture which has been inheritance from the elders of Bulungan tribe. This research use the qualitative-descriptive method to collect the information and description of form, function and value in Biduk Bebandung tradition ceremonial through folklore investigate. Moreover, the resource of this research is indirect from the informant in the field. The technique in collecting the data, the writer uses the interview and observation technique. To analyze the data, the writer uses data reduction, data display and conclusion. Thus, the result of this research showed that the speech in Biduk Bebandung tradition ceremonial there are line-form, Mengawa speech has 14 lines which is arranged of 6-13 words each line, Tolak Bala speech has 8 lines with 5-14 words each line, Selamat speech has 7 words each line, Mohammad’s Solawat speech has 3 lines with 3-7 words each line, Tahlil speech has 11 lines with 3-105 words each line. Furthermore, those speeches in Biduk Bebandung tradition ceremonial have functions such as entertain, as mediator legalization, the culture league itself and as the media education. Thus, in the Biduk Bebadung tradition, there is a religion value that as a wish to Allah SWT.
