Efektifitas Penambahan Ekstrak Terong Asam (Solanum ferox) Pada Pakan Terhadap Kelangsungan Hidup Dan Pertumbuhan Ikan Gabus (Channa striata)

Abstract

The effectivity of eggplant (Solanum ferox) extract supplementation in feed on the growth and survival rate of snakehead (Channa striata).The effect eggplant (S. ferox) extract addition in feed on the growth and survival rate of snakehead (C. striata) fries was examined. Two treatment namely feed without the addition of extract and feed with the addition of extract at 0,1 ml extract/g feed and with six replicate were applied in the extract experment unpaired student t-test was used to analyze the significance of difference between data sets from two treatments.Result showed that the supplementation of eggplant extract in feed was supposed to be effective, since it effected significanly on feed eficiency. At since amount of feed, the feed with eggplant extract tended to enhance a better growth of fish and conversion ratio of feed compared to feed without eggplant extract, even though statistically both treatments did not show any significant difference.
