Seagrass ecosystem has a function of spawning, nursery, and feeding ground. Besides, it could be used as a of that potential as a source of guiding compounds for medicinal ingredients. Research of the presence of secondary metabolites in marine organisms in East Kalimantan, especially Bontang waters is still very limited. This study aims to identify and screen the potential of active compounds in Seagrass from Tihi- Tihi Island and Melahing, Bontang. Phytochemical test of methanol extract Enhalus acoroides conducted to study the seagrass secondary metabolites. Phytochemical test results showed Seagrass Enhalus acoroides in Tihi Tihi Island contains alkaloid compounds, cardiac glycosides , steroids and Terpenoids while Antocyanin, Saponins, and Flavonoids , Phenols are not found. Meanwhile, Enhalus acoroides in Melahing Island positively contain alkaloid compounds, and cardiac glycosides, while antocyanin compounds, tannins, saponins, steroids, phenols, flavonoids and terpenoids are negative.en_US
