dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze the policies used in planning the needs of school supervisors in Kutai Kartanegara, to analyze the school supervisors' needs planning process implemented in Kutai Kartanegara and to analyze the process of recruiting School Supervisors in Kutai Kartanegara. The place of research was conducted in the Education Office area of Kutai Kartanegara, the time of the study began in March 2017 until June 2018. The technique of data collection was carried out by observation, documentation and interactive interviews until the data became saturated. Analysis of the data used in this study used qualitative data analysis methods and SWOT analysis to produce strategies from problem focus. The results showed that the policies used as the basis for the planning and recruitment of school supervisors had not been socialized and implemented thoroughly, the school supervisory needs planning process had not been carried out in the Kutai Kartanegara and the process of recruiting school supervisors in Kutai Kartanegara without process of selection and selection processen_US
