KARAKTERISTIK KELIMPAHAN PLANKTON DI MUARA SUNGAI TANJUNG LIMAU KOTA BONTANG

Abstract

This Study were aimed the characteristic identification of plankton distribution, the kind of plankton and to dis’tinguish of plankton distribution based on deep difference at the estuary of Tanjung Limau, Bontang City. The study was done in the range of March – April 2019. The Sampling location was chosen, Location I in upper course, Location II near with industry area, Location III in between middle of upper course and downstream, and Location IV near with rural area. Based on measurement of water quality, the condition of water quality was indicate fluctuation of estuary water especially in salinitas, but by the result there was not significat effect to plankton distribution. Based on the identification of plankton it was found 35 species from 13 clases. Le: Bacillariophyceae, Chaetonotida, Coscinodiscophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dinophyceae, Fragillariophyceae, Meidophyceae, Nostocaceae, Spirotrichia, Synechococaceae, Trebouxiphyceae, Xanthophyceae dan Zygnematophyceae. The characteristic of plankton distribution in deep were clasifed for number of abundance in range 23400-40200 sel/L, Diversity index in range 1,90-2,40, the value of uniform index in range 0,16-0,19 and Dominance index in range 0,10-0,31, also stronger conclusion with unsignificant differenc of variance in 5 %.
