Abstract

ABSTRAC Plan development of Kariangau industrial area in district of west Balikpapan, besides positive also negative affecting to the condition of economic social society environment. For the minimal of the negative impact require to be studied with a purpose to get actual data about the economic social of society condition, and to obtain the picture about social dynamics of society economics in the area around the development activity of KIK, utilize management of possibility incidence of the impact. The result of research is indicate that mean mount income per capita is good enough, that is Rp. 2.602.596/capita/year, small partly from them have saving, and generally have double job like gardening, growing crops, builder, sell water transportation service, do another job, tukang pijit, tukang ojek, and chicken livestock. Farm status mastered generally do not accompany by any bill of evidence, but there is also some of small which have owned property certificate and situation picture (GS) from Camat (sub-regency chief). Natural resources are exploiting to build house, as a transportation and source of income. The area of the Kariangau industrial area plans, which has wide about 1.603,28 ha, are compose of work-on government land about 987,04 ha and free government land about 616,24 ha.
