FUNGSI PELAKU PADA CERITA RAKYAT KUTAI “PUTRI SUBANG SEPASANG”, PENURUNAN TEKS, DAN TERJEMAHAN (KAJIAN TEORI FUNGSI VLADIMIR PROPP)

Abstract

Literary works (especially oral forms) can describe their desires, dreams, and collective ways of thinking. This is what occupies it as a very important document in the development of literature in particular, and the culture of the nation in general. therefore the Kutai tribe, one of the tribes in Indonesia is certainly also rich in oral literature. Then the folklore was chosen "Putri Subang Sepasang” whose existence was on the verge of extinction. Such conditions need to be immediately sentenced by means of a decrease in text, and translation. Coupled with an analysis of the actor's function in the story as an enrichment of understanding of the existing Kutai tribal oral literary works. Qualitative type research with descriptive method. the steps taken in this study are; determine informants or narrators, recording, decreasing text, translation, and data analysis based on the function theory of Vladimir Propp. After obtaining data from the field, this research then produces a decrease in text and the translation of the story "Putri Subang Sepasang". Then it was analyzed by the actor's function theory, Vladimir Propp, the results of which showed the suitability of the existing actor function criteria. means that it can be concluded that the story "Putri Subang Sepasang" includes a fairy tale similar to the one in the world.
