dc.description.abstractIn addition to producing Crude Palm Oil (CPO), palm oil mills also produce by-products in the form of liquid waste originating from the steaming process unit. Palm oil liquid waste is an organic material containing nutrients N, P, K, Mg and Ca so that it can be used as a source of nutrients for plants. Bio slurry from livestock can be used as organic fertilizer to loosen the surface soil, increase the population of microorganisms, enhance absorbency and water retention, increase soil fertility safely for fertilization. The aim of the study was to determine the interaction between palm oil liquid waste and bio slurry and the concentration of each palm oil liquid waste and the appropriate bio slurry on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) in the pre nursery. The study was conducted for 4 (four) months, namely from 15 October 2018 to 15 February 2019 in Babulu Darat Village, Babulu District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province. This study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) Faktorial Analized. The first factor is the treatment of palm oil liquid waste consisting of 4 levels of concentration and the second factor is bio slurry which consists of 4 levels of concentration, each treatment was repeated 3 times. This research was conducted in 2 phases of the experiment. First phase 0-3 months, first factor palm oil liquid waste (K): 0; 50; 100; 150 mL L-1; second factor bio slurry (U): 0; 15; 30; 45 mL L-1. Second phase 3-4 months, first factor palm oil liquid waste (K): 0; 75; 150; 225 mL L-1; second factor bio slurry (U): 0; 50; 75; 100 mL L-1. The results showed that there was no interaction between palm oil liquid waste and bio slurry. Palm oil liquid waste differs significantly from all observed parameters. Bio slurry was different but not significant for sprout length, plant height, stem diameter, and leaf area, but was significantly different for root length 30 days after planting, number of leaves 120 days after planting, and dry weight 30 days after planting.en_US
