Refilling drinking water at drinking water depots has public options because it is practical and affordable. However, if the drinking water does not meet the requirements, there will be a risk of causing the disease to consumers. Coliform bacteria are an indicator of drinking water pollution which can be caused by contamination of raw water, processing sanitation, employee hygiene, and equipment maintenance. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between the quality of hygiene and sanitation of the processing, equipment, and personal hygiene of employees on Coliform contamination at Refill Drinking Water Depots in the North Sangatta Village area. The study was conducted using a cross-sectional approach with a total of 20 samples. Data collection through observation and laboratory examination. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Chi Square correlation test with a significance level of 0.05 (5%) Laboratory test results showed that 9 refilled drinking water depots found Coliform bacteria in refilled drinking water. The results of the subsequent analysis obtained factors related to Coliform bacteria contamination in refilled drinking water, namely the processing of Coliform contamination (p-value: 0.026), equipment sanitation against Coliform contamination (p-value: 0.008), and personal hygiene of employees against Coliform contamination (p-value: 0.017). This researcher concludes that all variables are risk factors for the contamination of refilled drinking water. It is expected that the local government will re-record the depots that do not yet have certificates or those that have not renewed the hygiene-worthy certificates so that they can immediately renew them, provide information and education to each depot and carry out periodic inspections. Depot managers are expected to pay more attention to proper and correct procedures for processing refill drinking water depots.en_US
