dc.description.abstractBackground : There were 38,896 cases of diarrhea in Samarinda City 2020, where this disease followed rainy pattern that resulted in flooding. The most flooding was Sempaja Timur sub-district with 2,088 people affected. Purpose : to determine analysis environmental health risk assessment and risk of diarrhea in flood-prone areas. Method : The quantitative research method is descriptive cross-sectional approach. The population is all residents' houses that are flooded in Sempaja Timur Village, totaling 652 families, with sample 84 families. The sampling technique is Proportional Random Sampling, then Simple Random Sampling. Data analysis used univariate analysis and Environmental Health Risk Index. Result : The results of study that there are environmental health hazards, namely disposal of household waste to empty land or to rivers or irrigation is 44%, does not have waste water disposal channel is 17.9%, distance between water sources and pollutant sources is 39.3%, final disposal of feces holes in ground/river/pond amounted to 7.1%, did not sort waste amounted to 44%. Environmental Health Risk Index of 12 RTs in Sempaja Timur Village obtained low category in RT 35, RT 38, RT 40 and RT 45. Moderate risk in RT 36, RT 37 and RT 51. High risk in RT 26, RT 32, RT 40 and RT 45. Very high risk RT 46. Family with diarrhea is 63.1%. Concluded : It is concluded that there is very high environmental health risk. It is recommended that community together deal with problem of stagnant Wastewater Sewers, carry out proper waste management, and improve the behavior of washing hands with soap. Samarinda City Health Office cooperates with the Puskesmas to provide environmental health education.en_US
