PEMETAAN PERUBAHAN TUTUPAN LAHAN HUTAN MANGROVE DI WILAYAH PESISIR KECAMATAN MUARA JAWA, KABUPATEN KUTAI KARTANEGARA

Abstract

Mapping changes in mangrove forest land cover in the coastal region of Muara Jawa District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency (supervised by Abdunur and Widya Kusumaningrum) This study aims to determine changes in the extent of mangrove forest land cover and determine the dynamic of changes in mangrove lan cover in the coastal region of Muara Jawa District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The method are supervised classification method and the overlay method. The result showed the area of mangrove forest in 2014 amounted to 401,9642 ha, in 2016 amounted to 322,3364 ha, and in 2019 amounted to 372,0129 ha. The decrease mangrove area in 2014 to 2016 was 79,60 ha and the addition of mangrove forest in 2016 to 2019 was 49,64 ha. and in the period of 6 years, from 2014 to 2019, mangrove forest decreased was 29,96 ha. the change of mangrove forest land cover/conversion of mangrove forest from 2014 to 2019 to non-mangrove vegetation was 10,53 ha, the conversion of mangrove forest land to ponds was 126,43 ha, the conversion of mangrove forest land to settelemnts was 2,28 ha, and conversion of mangrove forest into water bodies was 16,72 ha. During of 6 years mangrove forest experienced of accretion was 166 ha and experienced of abrasion was 145 ha. The cause of changes in mangrove forest land cover in the coastal area of the Muara Jawa District due to the opening of pond land which is increasingly widespread each period by the public local.
