Abstract
This study aims to find out the physical and mechanical properties of lamina wood from resak wood using 2, 3, 4 layers using epoxy adhesive. The research was conducted in the industrial laboratory and forest results testing of the forestry faculty of mulawarman University. Tests based on DIN (Deutsches Institut Fuer Normung) standards, which were tested included the physical properties of moisture content and density of resak wood to test the properties of mechanics with a test of MoE/MoR static curved firmness, press firmness, sticky firmness and wood damage, following a statistical analysis pattern of a complete randomized design. The results of this study showed the influence between treatments (P1, P2, P3 and P4) with the highest moisture content (14.77% in the smallest P1 treatment) (11.49% in P4 treatment) and the highest density (0.594 g/cm3 in P4 treatment) the smallest (0.540 g/cm3 on P1 treatment), and the highest MoE test (10233.28 N/mm2 on the smallest P1 treatment) (9595.56 N/mm2 in P4 treatment) and the highest MoR (9.10 N/mm2 at the smallest P2) treatment (83.24 N/mm2 on P4 treatment) for the highest press firmness (49.48 N/mm2 on the smallest P4 treatment) (41.40 N/mm2 on P1 treatment) sticky firmness had the highest value (11.98 N/mm2 on P1 treatment) the lowest (6.33 N/mm2 in P2 treatment) with the percentage of wood damage in P2 treatment (19.96%). Statistical test results of the number of layers have a very significant effect on the test density, pressure firmness and insignificant on the test (MoE/MoR). Based on the classification of the strong class of lamina wood for testing the firmness of the press entered in the class of strong II, MoE entered in the class of strong III and MoR entered in the strong class II.
