dc.description.abstractPlans to increase coal production capacity by 16 million tons / year by PT. Indominco Mandiri in East Kutai regency, Kutai Kartanegara, and in addition had a positive impact Bontang city also has a negative impact on the socioeconomic conditions surrounding community. From the survey results revealed that the average household income per-capita per-year good enough or are not classified as poor. Land area in the control average of 2.75 ha per family derived from the legacy of their parents, opening the forest itself, buying from others, and some are borrowed from other fields. Local economic activity is not only oriented to the fulfillment of basic needs. Economic infrastructure is sufficient.
