This study aims to determineeffect of inoculant Rhizobium and compost on growth and the number of root nodules on peanut in soil media ex-coal mining. This research used 2 treatments, which are Rhizobium (0,10,15,20 and25 g) andcompost(0,100 and200 g) with5 replied, respectively. Data obtained were analyzed with Analysis of Variances (ANOVA) followed by Duncans Multiple Range Test and Kruskall-Wallis(p=0.05).Theresults showedthat theinoculantrhizobiumand compostincreasedthe growth of peanut and number of root nodules. The best growth of peanut (Arachishypogaea) obtained bytreatment ofinoculantrhizobium15gand compost 100 g, and the most root nodules obtained by inoculantrhizobium25 gand compost 200 g.
