dc.description.abstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of adding astaxanthin to feed and determine the optimal dose of astaxanthin addition on growth of comet fish (Carassius auratus) seeds. The method used in this study was to apply the of astaxanthin to artificial feed, with done 0%, 0.1%, 0.2%, and 0.3% per weight of feed. This experiment used completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replications. The results of this study indicated that the addition of astaxanthin to artificial feed had no significant effect on the length and weight growth of comet fish (P> 0.05). However, the highest growth in mean length and weight of comet fish was achieved by adding 0.2% astaxanthin to artificial feeden_US
