Abstract
Barbers are one of the groups of informal sector workers who are at high risk of becoming a source
or victim of Covid-19 transmission. They always have direct contact with customers while working so that it
can increase the risk of spreading Covid-19 at the barbershop. This study uses a Cross Sectional Study
design to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the practice of health protocols and
Covid-19 vaccinations in barbers. The sample size was 86 people and selected by purposive sampling with
the criteria of actively cutting hair during Covid-19 and willing to be respondents. The collected data were
analyzed by Chi Square statistical test. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge
and attitudes with the practice of health protocols and Covid-19 vaccinations at barbershops in Samarinda
City. Therefore, it is recommended for barbers to provide facilities and facilities in their place of business,
such as spaced chairs, hand washing areas, hand sanitizers, gloves, face shields and masks. In addition, it is
necessary to increase supervision and health communication from relevant agencies so that barbers
implement health protocols and receive Covid-19 vaccinations
