dc.description.abstractA high-quality road is determined by how its pavement was designed. In designing pavement, there are rules and guidelines that must be followed based on the environmental conditions where the pavement will be built. Indonesia already have its own guidelines to design pavement that is made by modifying advance countries’ guidelines such as United States, England and Australia. One of pavement design guideline that Indonesia develop is Analisa Komponen SKBI 1987 and Manual Desain Perkerasan jalan Bina Marga 2017. The purpose of this research is to compare both of these manuals in designing flexible pavement. Data used in this research is secondary data. These data are average daily traffic, and CBR. The result obtained from this study is the SKBI Component Analysis Method 1987 is more effective in designing flexible pavement because of the different planning criteria and calculation stages in each of these methods.en_US
