There are factors that are responsible for the success of someone's learning in English, and one of them is motivation. In this research, the kind of motivation used is instrumental and integrative. This research aims to know the stronger motivation between instrumental and integrative possessed by the pre-service physics teachers. There are 72 pre-service teachers involved in this research, which was chosen with the purposive method. The data was collected with an online questionnaire including 10 items for each motivation category to measure them adopted from the Gardner's Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMTB). The research method is quantitatively descriptive. Results showed that the overall mean of instrumental motivation is higher than the mean of integrative motivation, where both of the motivations are on a moderate level. By gender, men pre-service teachers are more instrumentally motivated, and women pre-service teachers are more integratively motivated. By the year, all the groups are more instrumentally motivated.

The New Indonesia Curriculum “Kurikulum Merdeka” (KM) is an explicit document articulating Indonesian pedagogical practices in K-12 to overcome learning loss&#13;
during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The document is an excellent work that describes pedagogy (learning outcome, learning process, and assessment) for building road maps supporting learning coherence. Principles of learning in KM consider student initial interest, long life learning, holistic, contextual, and sustainability orientation. In specific for Physics, student understanding of Physics in high school are explained in two elements which are understanding physics through science process skills in Phase E and F. Although based on national policy, the curriculum is widely used, challenges in physics learning always need various supports. Also, those highlights in KM drive several changes for teacher education institutions. The TPACK preparation for pre-service physics teachers urges us to consider the transition into courses and research that will prepare our pre-service physics teacher to teach within KM.

This study aims to determine the spatial visual intelligence in the quadrilateral&#13;
material of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda. This&#13;
quantitative descriptive study used the research subjects of class VII-A and&#13;
VII-B students at SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda, totaling 57 students. The object&#13;
of this research is the students' visual-spatial intelligence on quadrilateral&#13;
material. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, namely determining&#13;
students' visual spatial intelligence based on the characteristics of visual&#13;
spatial intelligence on each item and determining students' visual spatial&#13;
intelligence as a whole. The results showed that the average visual-spatial&#13;
&#13;
intelligence in rectangular material based on the characteristics of visual-&#13;
spatial intelligence possessed, namely (1) Characteristics of imagination with&#13;
&#13;
an average of 39.5, included in the low category. (2) Conceptual&#13;
Characteristics with an average of 55.20 including the low category. (3)&#13;
Characteristics of Pattern Search with an average of 44.5 including the low&#13;
category. (4) Characteristics of Problem Solving with an average of 97.71 are&#13;
included in the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that spatial visual&#13;
intelligence in the quadrilateral material of class VII students at SMP Negeri 7&#13;
Samarinda is included in the medium category with the characteristics of&#13;
spatial visual intelligence that most students have is problem solving.&#13;
Students with problem solving characteristics are able to determine problem&#13;
solving strategies based on the statements given correctly and&#13;
systematically.
